Kitchen floor plus some....

So the tile floor. It has taken us a month to finish the tile floor down stairs. It is a very large area and we picked a very tough design. I have to give all glory to my brother Jake and his family for letting come up every night after work for four hours a night and all day Saturday and after church on Sunday for a month. The tile is in the shape of diamonds and then offset two inches with little two inch squares that we cut to fill the offset. It looks great but takes a long time to do. We then did a different pattern with in it around where the dinning room table will go. Did I tell you it took us a month after work to do this.

Last Friday we gathered 7 people together to help grout and it took us 4 hours to do it. Thank You for everyone that helped. For every person that would not have helped it would have taken us another two hours on Friday night.

So thank you thank you Jacob, Jamie, Jamey, Courtney, Mom and Dad, John and Jeff for all your help on our tile floor.

<-- Jake and I laying the tile one night

<--Aunt Lisa watching Madison so Jacob could help me tile.

<-- Thanks Jamey for you help with the cleaning of the grout lines. That is tough work.

<-- You got to love the gloves.

<-- Jeff having way to much fun and thinking about Karlson's later that night.

<-- The sponge crew. That water is cold!
<-- Jake the tile man and the brains behind the whole thing

<-- John the bucket man. Must had carried 500 gallons of water that night. He has been working out at the gym so he was in shape for it.

<-- There is nothing like spending a month on a project to slap mud down on it

<-- Its a killer on the knees
